Wheelchair space
Please note: The seating arrangement may have changed due to adjusted guidelines.
Royal Theatre Carré has three wheelchair spaces. Are you coming with someone else? Then one or two seats are available next to the wheelchair spaces.
- Stalles Row 16 seat 9 (+ one visitor in seat 11)
- Stalles Row 16 seat 5 (+ two visitors in seat 1 and 3)
- Stalles Row 17 seat 1 (+ one visitor on seat 2, attention: this seat is on the other side of the aisle)

The size of the wheelchair platform is 75x76 cm and runs into the floor, so that a longer wheelchair can also be placed easily.
To enter the theatre, you use a steep ramp. Please note: the ramp is very steep. It has an incline of 18% and is 400 cm long. You can also access the theatre hall via a staircase, taking four steps. If you would like help with this ramp or taking the stairs, please ask one of our theatre staff.

The aisle to get to the wheelchair spaces is 90 cm wide (locally only 72 cm). We therefore ask you for the dimensions of your wheelchair when you make your reservation. Is your wheelchair wider than 72 cm? Please mention this when booking. We will then be happy to help you find a suitable solution.

Walker
It is possible to enter the auditorium with a rollator. A member of staff will place the walker outside the auditorium before the performance. After the performance, it will be returned to your seat. To get to your seat easily with the walker, we recommend you reserve a seat on the even side (right-hand side) of the Stalles, preferably on the side aisle.
To access the Stalles, you use a steep ramp or stairs with four steps. We are happy to assist you where necessary.

Mobility scooters
If you come to the theatre with a mobility scooter, you may use a loaned walker or wheelchair to get to your seat in the auditorium. When the performance is over, a member of staff will bring the loaned walker or wheelchair back to your seat so that you can return to your mobility scooter. During the performance, we park the mobility scooter near the theatre. It is not possible to enter the theatre with a scooter.

In order to easily reach your seat with the walker, we recommend to reserve a seat on the even side (right side) of the Stalles, preferably on the side aisle.

To access the Stalles, you use a steep ramp or stairs with four steps. We are happy to assist you where necessary.

Deaf and/or hard of hearing
Royal Theatre Carré has an audio induction loop system. On the evening of the performance you can pick up the device at our cloakroom on the ground floor. A deposit of € 10.00 is required. We have an audio induction loop system with simple headphones and a loop system that you can connect to your own hearing aid via minijack. You can also bring your own headphones which you can connect to the transmitter of the loop using the minijack.

Visually impaired
Carré is a monumental building, so there are many small steps, for example. If desired, we will gladly guide you through the theatre towards your seat in the auditorium.

Assistance dog
Assistance dogs with a harness, such as guide dogs for the blind, are welcome in the theatre. We recommend that you reserve seats in the Stalles in the middle of the aisle. Here your dog can easily sit next to you during the performance.
