Route: HF at the movies

To the movies, but different. That's how you could describe the performances in this route. Film images become part of a live performance with musicians, actors and/or dancers, creating a new set of layers and meanings. Sometimes the image was there first (as with the 1931 Brazilian film classic Limite, which is getting a new live soundtrack), sometimes just the music (with Rite of Spring, for which two films were made to existing orchestral music), but always the equivalence between screen and stage is the starting point, and the result will spark the imagination.
