In this workshop, you will discover how to tell a story through origami. Each fold becomes a character, a place, or an event: a hero, a house, a boat, a turning point. As you fold, the story unfolds — not only yours, but also that of the people around you.
The workshop is led by the Arab Origami Centre, founded by OzOz, also featured in Sada (Echo) and Mohammed Gaber-Bora. What once began for OzOz as a side project alongside his work as a sound artist has grown into an international practice in which storytelling is central. He was one of the first to put origami on the map in Egypt as a tool for imagination and encounter.
For OzOz, origami is not about perfection, but about connection. He works with diverse groups, from students to refugees, and combines origami with gaming, architecture, and theatre. In Story-Gami, the collective process takes centre stage: together, participants build one shared story.
