Madeline Saputra

Profile

Madeline Saputra (2000) is a soprano from Indonesia. She graduated with cum laude in classical singing from Conservatorium van Amsterdam, The Netherlands. She is now pursuing her master's degree in the same institution under the guidance of Sasja Hunnego, and attends masterclasses from time to time with several singers; Roberta Alexander, Alexander Oliver, Ira Siff, and Margreet Honig.


Since 2020, she has been performing lied, opera, oratorio from classical to contemporary genres in The Netherlands across different venues, including the known Concertgebouw, Muziekgebouw aan 't IJ, Dutch National Opera, and in the Dutch national radio for classical music; NPO4. She is also the co-creator of the project 'Rumah' with Singaporean pianist Elizabeth Goh, where they actively perform music from Indonesian and Singaporean composers throughout The Netherlands and Singapore.


In 2023, she won a scholarship from the Eva Kleinitz Opera Europa Competition, and is now part of the Vrienden van het Lied. Madeline worked with World Opera Lab on the VRF film Antigone’s of the Pandemic and the Passion of Today.
