The London Contemporary Orchestra (LCO) is a leading ensemble of young musicians dedicated to exploring, developing, and promoting new and innovative music to wide audiences. Founded in London in 2008 by Robert Ames and Hugh Brunt, it is renowned for its adventurous cross‑genre collaborations and its works with composers and artists across contemporary classical, electronic and film music. Its credits include recordings and performances for films such as Suspiria, Moonlight and Phantom Thread, and contributions to projects by Radiohead and Frank Ocean. LCO won the Ensemble category at the Royal Philharmonic Society Music Awards in 2015 and continues to innovate with live shows, recordings and artist partnerships.
