EYE

Eye Filmmuseum is a centre in Amsterdam dedicated to cinematography. The building is located opposite of Central Station, on the north bank of the river IJ. Eye's objective is to preserve film heritage for future generations, both for Dutch films and foreign films shown in the Netherlands. The museum aims to promote a vibrant film culture in the Netherlands.

Accessibility

  • You can reserve a wheelchair or walker in advance at Eye's reception desk: email [email protected], stating the date and time of your visit.


    All floors of Eye are accessible by lift. Two spaces are always reserved for wheelchairs in Eye's cinemas. In Cinema 2 and 3 these seats are at the back of the auditorium and in Cinema 1 and 4 these seats are at the front of the auditorium (front row). Booking in advance is not necessary, but it is nice if you announce your arrival via [email protected].

  • We have hearing loops in our halls, ask at the front desk.

  • There are two disabled parking spaces in the A'DAM Tower car park. We recommend you take the 'A'DAM Tower' exit when leaving the car park, it has a wheelchair-friendly automatic outer door.

  • Guide dogs for the blind are welcome everywhere. Other dogs are allowed in Eye Bar Restaurant/the arena, but not in the Panorama, exhibition area or movie theatres. Dogs must be leashed and supervised at all times.
