Am I an ANGELA?#As an Elder, I want to draw attention to all the different expectations we have as an audience when we attend a performance.
#I’m very eager to see Angela because the approach of director Suzanne Kennedy is quite different from what I’m used to, as an older actress.
#Angela shows us confronted with our own actions, our own development. How helpless our lives really are. We cry for attention.
#Angela doesn’t do disguises . Her life is marked by: Illness/Recovery, Waking/Sleeping, Being born/Giving birth.
#A play like this confronts us with our personal expectations, assumptions, norms and references. Our privilege and cultural rituals.
#I would like to ask some of those present about their reasons for coming to see Angela, and the expectations they have.
