DEGASTEN creates theater with young people aged 13 to 31 in hyper-diverse, mixed groups. The strength of DEGASTEN lies in guiding young talent within a deeply personal context that places their own experiences, co-creation, real-life encounters, and ongoing research at the center. DEGASTEN always performs and creates from a mix of amateurs, professionals, and socio-cultural partner organizations. This approach results in theatrical performances and experiences with a distinctive artistic signature.

DEGASTEN operates out of studios across Amsterdam and also introduces young people nationwide to theater through our educational performances and school workshops.
