Daniel Jack Lyons (California, 1981) is an American artist and anthropologist whose work focuses largely on marginalised youths, whether occupying spaces on the periphery of society or in the face of conflict. The collaborative methods he employs grant these subjects a greater sense of autonomy in guiding each project’s message, infusing Lyons’ work with a deeper creative spirit that often illuminates universal experiences that audiences may not have considered. He has exhibited work internationally, most recently in Arles, Marseille, Los Angeles, New York, Milan, Warsaw, London, and Mozambique. His work has appeared in numerous publications including The New York Times, i-D, The New Yorker, and Vogue Italia.
