How does it work?
You can visit performances for only € 6, if there are still tickets available. You can buy your discount ticket 30 minutes before the performance starts at the box office of the designated theatre. 

This special offer applies to almost all performances* of the festival. Your last-minute student pass is only valid in combination with a valid student card. Both need to be shown at admission. 

How do I request a last-minute pass?
Send an email to [email protected], and mention your first- and last name, your education, your educational institution, your student number and your address. Request your pass before the 20 May and it will be send to you at your home address. If you request your pass after the 20 May than you will have to pick your pass up at the box office of the Internationaal Theater Amsterdam. In case you have any questions, you can email us. 

Do you want to be guaranteed an entry for a Holland Festival performance? Buy your tickets in advance with student discount up to 70% for almost all performances. 

*N.B.: The last-minute arrangement is not valid for aus LICHT, The Six Brandenburg Concertos and the performances at De Nationale Opera, Het Nationale Ballet, ITA Ensemble and Eye Filmmuseum.


If you have bought tickets for Holland Festival 2020, there are three options:

1. you can donate the amount of the tickets purchased,
2. you can have have the amount refunded,
3. you can exchange the amount of the tickets purchased for vouchers for 2021.

- specify the preferred option for each ticket.

What is your donation used for?
With your donation, you support the Holland Festival. Among other things, we will use your donation to continue our fair practice policy. This allows the festival to pay coproduction contributions according to the original agreement; to compensate all artists, companies and ensembles; to pay freelancers and cover a part of the venue rental costs of the theatres. Tickets can also be purchased at the box offices of participating theatres and concert halls as well. Administration fees at these sales points may vary from those of the Holland Festival Ticket Service.


Friends of the Holland Festival receive a discount of € 5 for the first ticket per performance and a discount of € 2,50 on each additional ticket for the same performance.

Students and persons with a CJP pass visit the Holland Festival for € 19 or less. This generous offer is valid for nearly all performances* and for nearly all seating categories. Remember to bring your student id or CJP pass with you to the performance, as you may be asked to present it. Without a student id or CJP pass, your ticket is invalid, and you will have to buy a new one at the box office.

For productions of Dutch National Opera, Dutch National Ballet and International Theatre Amsterdam the prices for students and CJP will be divergent, and the last-minute student pass is not applicable. 

No entrance after start of performance
As soon as the performance has started, entrance to the performance is not allowed. Sometimes there is an interval, in which you can enter the performance. Restitution of your ticket is not possible.  

Introductions and Meet the Artist
No time to attend the introduction ? No worries, many introductions will be streamed live via the Holand Festival app. In this way you will be kept informed. You can download the app for free in the App Store or via Google Play.

No pictures, video or audio recordings
It is not allowed to make any recordings (photo, video or audio) during the performance without official permission by the Holland Festival.

Please turn off your mobile phone
We kindly ask you to switch off your mobile phone before the performance starts.
