Update edition 2020
What our global society is currently going through is without precedent. Everyone will be affected by the measures taken to contain the coronavirus. We are not closing our eyes to what is happening around us, are all too aware of the exceptional seriousness of the situation, and our hearts are with the victims and people currently living and working in difficult circumstances.
The Holland Festival is also taking its responsibility to make every effort to prevent the coronavirus from spreading further. We are doing this with a step-by-step plan that we can alter from day to day.
1. Since March 12th, the festival office has been closed, and we are working from home. We will continue to do so until the national government decides otherwise.
2. We are in daily contact with all companies and producers who are on the program for June 2020. This is highly complex as they come from over 20 different countries, each with their own rules and considerations.
3. We await the government’s statement at the end of April and on the basis of this will decide on the feasibility of the festival. It is at present impossible to say if it will continue in a modified form or may be cancelled. This is a target date that of course entirely depends on the national government’s restrictions, but also on the situation in the various countries our artists come from.
4. If there is any news in the meantime, we will inform you of this immediately.
We publish all our statements in this news section and on our blog.
Our online ticket sales will continue to be reachable as normal. If a show is cancelled, you will be offered the possibility of receiving a voucher for the 2021 festival, donating your entrance fee to the Holland Festival or requesting restitution.
The Holland Festival team wishes you all the best and hopes to see you in good health at some point in the future.
