First Announcements Of Pieces To Be Performed In 2020
Holland Festival is proud to present the first five of its shows for 2020. Familiar names and new creators from different continents and disciplines will all be bringing their unique perspectives to the stage.
Holland Festival 2020 is introducing spoken-word artist Marc Bamuthi Joseph with his multimedia piece The Just and the Blind, which features poetry, music and dance. Louis Andriessen’s latest composition, May will receive its world premiere. The Festival will also be the first to present Trajal Harrell’s Porcia Miseria trilogy as a whole. Susanne Kennedy has adapted Chekhov’s Three Sisters for the Münchner Kammerspiele, and Australian composer Ben Frost will be returning with his new opera, The Murder of Halit Yozgat.
The full programme for the 2020 Holland Festival, including work by and surrounding the Festival’s associate artist – American choreographer, director, writer and dancer Bill T. Jones – will be announced on Tuesday, February 11 2020. The 73rd edition of the festival will begin on Thursday, June 4 2020.
